Over the past year I’ve submersed myself back into painting. Something I had refused to do for so long. It used to bring me pain and frustration. I can still say it brings me frustration today but the pain is gone. I have yet to find if that pain has been replaced by anything. Hope maybe? Sounds cheesey if you ask me, but the best things in life are no doubt covered in cheese (and butter). I will say that I have learned to let go in my paintings more. I now strive for the messier haphazard painting and no longer spend countless hours seeking perfection. And to watch myself grow in my art is truly a blessing. I am always telling myself “practice makes progress”. I invite you to explore my messy non-linear art journey.
